Evaluation

Evaluation

In this evaluation I will be looking back at my Unit 30 advertisement production and seeing how professional the videos is, how we worked as a group and improvements we could of made. It is very important we do this so we know what we must change and make better so the production is more professional and successful in the market and helps improve sales. Clearly knowing who your target audience is and how you can get them to watch your production.

The problems we faced:

One of the problem we faced and didn’t have a choice other than adapted to the problem was the weather, now for some scene when it started raining in it didn’t have a massive impact on what we were trying to portray, however in other scenes we did need the weather to be more calm in order to film. If there was an issue that we couldn’t film then we would start editing the scenes we have already got in order to use the time more productively.

Another problem we faced were technical issues related to the camera and the editing software, sometimes the cameras wouldn’t be charged or available because other classes would have to use them which meant that the time we took out to film was being wasted because we weren’t able to do any recording, also sometimes the computers wouldn’t be available to use because other classes would be using the computers, however we did manage to get the editing done which is the good thing.

Our biggest issue was time, in order to film in our own time out of lesson could sometimes be challenging because one of the main characters wouldn’t be available to film, which meant that we would have to wait till we had everyone so we could film, also the timing issue became a problem because both off our units started to clash as we had different group for our single camera so making sure that was completed on time was very important, so in order for that to happen we organised different days in which we would focus on the different units, I think I benefited us quite well and actually helped us to finish the single camera production on deadline.

In order to achieve a high grade we did allow anyone from the group to add or change any of the pre-production we carried out, so all the pre-production tasks were completed by everyone from the group and every member did take equal part in ensuring that our pre-production will achieve a high grade an at a professional standard.

In our group we had three different members:

Ø  Hariss Zulfiqar (Actor/Director)

Ø  Saiful Hussain (Editor)

Ø  Zuned Cassambai (Camera Man)

We did nominate everyone to an individual task and role within the production team such as camera man, editor and director. However even though we all had individual roles we all helped and did get a chance of using the camera, editing and also directing things on how they should happen, so personally I think as a group when it came to filming we worked quite well, however on the other hand when it came to editing due to the circumstances one member off the group didn’t import much which made it quite difficult. Overall as a group I think we worked well and imported towards the production as much as possible.
